Our Executive Officer, Louise Lloyd is the driving force behind more funding and grants. She will be out and about raising more awareness of Down syndrome in the community, business networks and government sector. Louise is also responsible for providing leadership and the overall management of the staff and all ongoing activities of the Down Syndrome Association of Queensland.

Our Information & Support Coordinator, Rachel Carr is available to answer questions, assist with library loans and respond to information requests, relating to specific information about Down syndrome, for families, professionals and the wider community. Rachel arranges workshops, conducts research and creates information packages. She also coordinates New Parent Support Training and facilitates our training and development.

Our Education Consultant, Amanda Corby, can assist educators and families with all educational issues. She conducts professional development workshops throughout the year. Amanda has a strong commitment to research and the development of programs and resources to assist children with Down syndrome. Amanda is also available to assist with library loans.

Amanda is available Monday-Wednesday.

Our Social and Media Coordinator, Karis Bouher organises DSAQ functions including Buddy Walk and plans family gatherings including World Down Syndrome Day celebrations. She is responsible for producing the quarterly magazine the DSAQ Digest and facilitating DSAQ's design work. Karis also manages volunteers.

Karis is available Tuesday-Thursday.

Our Youth Development Officer, Kate Fletcher, is responsible for linking youth with Down syndrome, ensuring that all young people feel connected to other people who have similar interests. She also helps to organise the youth camp and other social events throughout the year. Kate also facilitates our Music Therapy program.

Kate is available on a Monday and Tuesday.

Our Administration Officer, Karen Stirling will generally be your first point of call at the office. If you have questions relating to memberships, and financial matters Karen can help you. 

Our Administration Assistant, Nikela Carrigan provides administrative support to all staff members, manages the library returns and helps to keep the office running smoothly and efficiently.
