World Down Syndrome Day

World Down syndrome day is celebrated on 21st March every year all around the world.  The 21/3 signifies three copies of chromosome 21, the most common form of Down syndrome.  It is an opportunity to dispel some myths and tell the correct story about living with Down syndrome. Every year families get together and celebrate what it means to be a part of the Down syndrome community.  These events are held around Queensland and take many forms: BBQ's, picnics, bowling days and music events.  Not to mention office morning teas and school assemblies.   All of our current events are listed below, so have a look and see if there is an event close to you - or contact us for information about how to organise your own.
