Tools and Resources
The DSAQ Resource Library contains thousands of items for people with Down syndrome, their families, and other members of the community. Each item has carefully been selected over the years to be part of what has now become a vast array of resources for DSAQ members to use in their homes, schools, or other community settings. DSAQ full members can borrow up to 4 items at a time per month, whereas school/ organisation members can borrow up to 8 items at a time per month. Postage (including return) is also free of charge so our members throughout Queensland can enjoy resources from our library.
Our Online Store
Over the years we’ve come across a range of great classroom resources that are useful when working with students with Down syndrome. We now have a collection of our favourites available from our online store including pencil grips, scissors, slope boards, sensory toys and more. You can also purchase a range of resources developed by DSAQ including Reading Our Way, the Enabled Learning book series, fine motor kits and primary resource kits. Finally, if you're looking for DSAQ merchandise like t-shirts or our popular Harold bear the online store is the place for you.
Conferences and workshops
DSAQ presents conferences and workshops on a range of topics throughout Queensland. These exciting and motivating sessions are open to a range of participants including parents, educators, service providers, therapists and other professionals. The highlight of our training calendar is undoubtedly the annual two day Brisbane Education Conference that brings together parents and educators from across our State, other parts of Australia and overseas to share, learn and be inspired.
We have developed a range of resources that we have made available for free download. There are a range of helpful tools for parents and educators including information sheets, our Visual Supports Guide and a previous edition of our Guide to Apps.
